Rejecting reasons

First of all - You are so good at taking photos. Really! We get so many nice photos every hour and every day, and many times we would like to accept them even if we don’t. Rejecting your photo does not mean that we don’t like it. We are focusing on commercial photos and are trying to find the right mix for our customers.

Filters and frames

We don’t accept photos with frames and filters except when it’s filters that gives the photo more contrast or sharper colours. (No vintage filters and frames though) The reason of why we don’t accept for example Instagram filters is that the buyers can’t use those photos.

Low sharpness

If the whole photo is blurry or if we think that the sharpness is to poor or in the “wrong” place we will reject it.

Undersized

We want the photo to be at least 1000 px in heigth or length.

Inappropiate photos

Porn, war, drugs fighting, sex, weapons etc...

Similar photos

If we have too many of a kind we may reject your photo. This is unusual though.

We don’t think there is a buyer

Some photos are nice, sharp and with good composition but can be difficult to sell anyway. If we think so we will reject it.

Too dark

“Too dark” means that we think that the whole photo or that part of it is too dark. It may also be when you can’t see the face because of shadow for example.

Composition

We think that the composition of the photo is important and could reject a photo if we think that it’s not good enough.

Messy/ Vague purpose

Some photos feels messy or has a vague purpose. If so, we reject it.

Overexposed

We reject photos that are overexposed, sometimes even if just part of it is. We often reject photos that are taken through a window since it’s reflective.
