Sometimes traffic back ups is a good thing. I was stopped in my car perfectly placed in front of Jackson Square in the French Quarter on one of our many rainy days here in NOLA . Snapped this from inside my car while I waited.

In New Orleans we party for everything and unique to our area is the Second Line. A brass band leads weddings, funerals, parties, etc. This was for a Mardi Gras Krewe's celebration thru the French Quarter.

My rescue dog. Yellow Labrador / German Shepard mix. Loves the water and spending time outdoors. No filters or extra equipment. Just taken with the built in flash on my dlsr camera.

Flowers are some of the most beautiful and diverse things around. This lovely bloom needed it's on photoshoot it was so pretty. The texture are pronounced and become more interesting this close.

In the classic design. Most ares of the city don't have these decorative covers because they have been stolen as keepsakes. I'm lucky enough to have one in the yard of my apartment.

If you look around there is truly beauty everywhere. I was getting into my car and noticed something sparkly blue at my feet. Broken glass on wet pavement. It's everywhere, but if you look closely it's truly lovely.

A huge lot full of giant rusted out chains and massive anchors resides on the east side of New Orleans. Got in several good shots before getting shooed off the premises.

Anytime I take the Dauphin Island Ferry I am always able to snap shots of something beautiful.
