Early morning shots at a beautiful woodland garden! A bush with tiny red bell like buds just getting ready to burst open. They look like translucent pomegranate seeds in the sunlight. 🌞

Hey its not just the humans who like to eat! My Bearded dragon,Stormy, loves his big blue-green hornworms. Its his fav treat and will crash into the glass when he sees me approaching. Spoiled dragon likes to be hand fed too! 🐉

Looking across windswept green fields, through awakening trees, to the blue glacier topped mountains, and the cloud kissed sky! It was a bright, beautiful Spring afternoon!

Summertime is time to go to play in the waves! Whether its surfing or just boogie boards we all love to play in the water! This day was spectacular and we spent all day riding the waves with short stops to refuel with our laden picnic basket.

OCEAN:Some sunrise shots of the ocean on a windy Pacific Northwest morning. The high tide created frothy waves breaking on the shore. There were some clouds but the sun shone through creating beautiful colour in the sky and sea.

Experimenting with manual settings on my DSLR camera. Capturing droplets of milk and finishing with some desktop tools and techniques. Always learning!

Summertime is for playing in the rivers! My daughter & a friend are swinging out over the river trying to work up the nerve to drop into the cold glacier fed river. They eventually made it in but it was pretty shocking. Luckily it was a hot day! 🥶

Nothing in this world makes me as happy as my family! This photo of me & my 3 beautiful daughters snuggling was taken at one of our favourite beaches on a beautiful sunny March afternoon. The background is beach, ocean & coastal mountains! ❤️

Bales of silage wrapped in purple plastic look like giant marshmallows. Purple bale wrappers are often used to support charities for sick children. Recycling is also being developed to produce other products wth the used film.

The setting sun is strongly reflected in the falling tidal waters of the estuary & the sky is orange & pink. The tree line, tidal flats & mountains are dark silhouettes focusing all attention on the glowing yellow sun, sky & water. Beautiful! 🌞

My favourite room in the house is the room where there is the most interaction with my family; my open kitchen -family room. This is also the room where we interact with most of our pets - because they’re family too! Home is where the heart is! ❤️

A pair of bald eagles is starting breeding. The female, the bigger brown eagle, is of age but has not yet transformed into her full adult colours. The eagles will lock talons & circle while mating before releasing & flying off. It’s quite the dance!

Would you guess this is water & soap on my windshield at the car wash?! Experimenting again with desktop tools to develop interesting abstracts! So much fun & really sparks my imagination!!!⚡️

Beautiful mountain wildflowers on a lovely spring day. There was fog rolling across the mountain so the orange California poppies were closed as they do at night to protect themselves against the cold.

Staying in shape physically & mentally means dancing! My kids love to dance & as the sun was setting they danced in the water & on the beach! The sheer delight on their faces was so beautiful to see and filled my heart with joy! ❤️

Just in case you think I forgot about our cats - don’t worry! Our dogs & cats do not get along so theres a dog zone & a cat zone! So another fav spot in the house is our bedroom. My husband & I share the bed with the cats & sometimes the kids too! 🐈

Another rare but welcome sunny winter day in Beautiful British Columbia. This shot is the Mainland mountains viewed from Vancouver Island. There is a wisp of clouds over the mountain caps the dark blue ocean of the Salish Sea in the foreground.

POV, form, texture,colour: My puppy’s mostly white paws are all that’s seen in the messed up white hotel sheets lit with rays of bright sunlight from the window. After all vacation is for pups too! 🐶

Another day at the beach with pups but this time some beautiful late afternoon winter sun warmed us while we took in the view. A little reflected light created a little prismatic rainbow effect.

Sepia monochrome. A profile portrait of my youngest daughter against a dark background. Her dark hair, lashes & brows makes a beautiful contrast against her pale skin. She has a gentle “mona lisa” smile on her mouth & in her eyes. She is eleven!

Rule of thirds & space: This young kangaroo is perusing the crowds of people milling about his paddock. He was distractedly scratching his elbow and seemed annoyed at the interruption to his peaceful Sunday afternoon.

Staying in shape by dragon boat racing! This time we were just observing. We drove from our campsite to go see the provincial races. The kids were tired so it was relieving & relaxing to just watch the boats out on the water from a nice shady spot!

Be like the child & smile at the simple joys of life! This is a quartet of shots of my girl discovering her first chocolate covered mint cookie. The chocolate was mostly on her face & hands but the ear to ear grin on her face showed all the joy!😄

CLOUDS: Calm ocean water in this beautiful harbour on the West Coast provides a perfect mirror for the clouds backlit by the rising sun. A narrow sand spit in the background & some grass in the foreground provides some framing for the mirror.

I never gave birth, but I was at my daughters birth & I got to hold her 2 minutes after she was born. I was deliriously happy as can be seen by this face-swallowing smile & the endless tears of joy. This adoptive mom can never be thankful enough. 🙏

My little pup Boston Terrier loved to play at the beach. Tug of war with sticks of driftwood is one of her favourite games. Or she just likes to chew the wood to splinters. I never understand why her mouth isnt full of splinters!

A light brown cow sauntering from a back field to join her herd in the front field. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny Spring day and the cows seemed peaceful & content. 🐄

It was a beautiful sunny winter day which is rare on the Pacific North ‘wet’ Coast. It was relatively cold for our standards and cloudless which made for some awesome mountain vistas. This shot was taken from the waterfront pier.
