This is Mission San Jose in Fremont. We drive past after hours but thought the sun setting gave it a lovely glow.

With spring finally here the bees have been circling holly bushes in my backyard. There were different kinds of bees this day from huge black bees to super small wasp looking bees. I was a city girl I cannot tell the differences.
my house is surrounded by all kinds of birds from Vultures to Quail. There are many blue birds , like the one here, that make alot of noise. I must have disturb this one as I was heading to my garbage can. It looks like he is giving me the stink eye.

at Mission Cemetery an old gravesite with the greek statue watching over the deceased
forgotten flowers. This old gravesite had old artificial flowers and even they looked wilted, weathered and faded.

an abandoned gravesite where a trees roots began to emerge. The tree had been removed but not the roots.
it is one of our stray kittens first winter and surprisingly they played in the snow on the first day. Here one of the kittens is sitting on their outdoor cat house. I took picture with my Google Pixel 7.

This small decaying building is the back of a family crypt. its earliest date was in the late 1800s. Taken on a cold rainy day. it seems every storm takes peels away a little from the crypt.

in a recreated Portuguese kitchen in a musuem shows a simple place setting. The table cloth was hand embroidered and showed how the lamp oil was the only lighting
a small section of an old mining conveyor belt from the turn of the 20th century. It had been left to rot until this section was encased in glass at a museum.

they may not be perfect but these are granny square Triangles instead of a square. I'm crocheting a blanket using scrap yarn.

The holly bushes in my backyard were buzzing with dozens of different types of bees and flies. I stood for over half hour to get a picture. I cannot believe I was so close to the bees for that long
while walking the grounds of the Egyptian museum in San Jose i tookshade under a patio in the peace garden. The pond had koi fish and the palm and olive trees gave added shade.
this is the bottom half of a gate to a family crypt. the door were open for the longest time..a huge amount of leaves have accumulated in the crypt floor. The lock to the gate rusted shut long ago.
on our drive on hwy 299 from my home to a small town in California. Mt Lassen is across the valley. It had been raining days before it was nice having some blue skies. The clouds were too pretty not to take the picture.
A sunny day at a car show. I edited the coloring to tone down the brightness and to shae away some of the background and highlight the car.
while walking through Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose I found some of the older family mausoleums open to the elements. doors and gates are rusting away.
