A woman’s hand holding Bare Minerals Prime Time Original Foundation Primer. I love this product because you only need a thin layer, and it goes on smooth and creates a good base to layer your foundation over.
The last of the popcorn! A photo of the inside of a bag of Smart Foods White Cheddar popcorn as I sadly approached the end of the bag.
A red and white fishing boat named Swaggy B on the waters of the Manasquan Inlet taken from the inlet parking lot in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ while sitting in my Jeep enjoying the view.
A photo of St. Ives Rose Water & Aloe Vera Refreshing Body Wash. I love body wash and this is one of my favorites. It’s light and nicely scented, and I love the packaging. It’s affordable too which doesn’t hurt.
A sparkly magenta Christmas ball ornament hanging from a Christmas tree at a Panera Bread restaurant in Brick, NJ.
Coola lipstick with SPF30 in “Summer Crush” partnered with a concert T-shirt celebrating one of my lifelong crushes, Shaun Cassidy, who I saw perform at Parx Casino in Philadelphia on Dec 16, 2021 after several postponements due to Covid.
Natural looking but polished nails against the leaves of a plant. Photo shot on my iPhone in night mode. I painted my nails in Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Color in “24 Karat” & Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in “Bet on Love.”
Natural looking nails in pinkish gold sparkly polish against a white wall.
Frog poking his or her head out of a pond in a local park, Deep Cut Gardens in NJ. A beautiful tranquil place to walk.
A man in a bulldozer works on the beach dunes in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Here he sits atop a hill facing the ocean as a seagull flies by. I wish I had a view like this at work.
A man in a bulldozer works on the beach in May in preparation for the summer season in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.
People walk and bike by on the boardwalk in Ocean Grove, NJ. Taken from outside the open-air Boardwalk Pavilion where people can sit, get some shade, and view the beach and ocean. Church services are held here in the summertime.
A blue and tan bird running in sandy dirt with a prized piece of food in its beak. It looked like a bird on a mission. Taken at Cape May Zoo & Park in Cape May, NJ.
Scenic view of the Manasquan Reservoir and the trees from the path that loops around the park. Trees are reflected in the water, and the photo is like an impressionist painting with the blue and green colors of nature.
A mug of a hot chocolate mocha, not completely stirred yet. I mixed Swiss Miss sugar free hot cocoa powder with coffee and milk. A delicious pick-me-up.
I use old gift card tin boxes to hold store loyalty cards, gift cards, membership cards, and credit cards. They also work great for holding change and folded currency, and don’t take up much space in a purse. This is a great way to repurpose them.
Dinosaur made from tree branches that a local artist made in the woods of Allaire State Park. This is one if my favorite places to walk. Everyone loves it, especially the children. Magical!
The maritime forest at Cattus Island County Park in Toms River, NJ. This was taken after a period of heavy rain. I had never seen so much water beneath the trees at the starting point of the walking trail, but I thought it looked beautiful.
The ingredients for my own homemade version of a mocha:coffee, Swiss Miss hot cocoa mix (any flavor) and milk. I put the cocoa powder in a mug, fill about 3/4 with coffee, add a splash of milk and stir. It’s a delicious treat on a Sunday morning.
A view of the inside of Jenks Inlet Bar & Grill, a favorite local spot, located on the North end of the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk in NJ near the Manasquan inlet. Here you can sit inside or outside and enjoy amazing views of the beach and ocean.
A closeup of a pine cone. There is such complexity and beauty in the simplest of things if you stop and really look. This was one among many on the ground in Allaire State Park in Farmingdale, NJ. It is worth a closer look. Beautiful!
A mug of coffee mixed with Swiss Miss hot chocolate and a little milk. This is my own version of a coffee shop Mocha, but I use sugar free cocoa powder mix and skim milk to keep calories down. It is every bit as delicious though.
This photo was actually taken at a Memorial Day parade In Bradley Beach, NJ, but I think the spirit and colors of the scene are in keeping with Independence Day. The little girl holding up her flag shows the pride in freedom that is so American.
Stirring up a delicious hot chocolate mocha, made by pouring coffee and milk over Swiss Miss hot cocoa mix.
My hand with fingernails painted with a gold-toned polish, which was a base of white with sparkly gold on top. I am wearing an Opal birthstone ring given to me by my late Aunt Helen, who, like me, had an October birthday.
A photo of L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara in the fun shade of Deep Violet against a rich striped background in complimentary colors. Purple to me is sophisticated yet playful, rich and beautiful.
My current makeup collection: Naked Heat Urban Decay eye shadow palette , L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara in Deep Green (a favorite) and Deep Violet (can’t wait to try it) and Beauty and the Beast-themed cosmetic bags from Box Lunch.
My hand holding Ulta Beauty Fresh Faced 6-piece eye shadow palette, which was part an exclusive collaboration with Essence Magazine called Girls United: Beautiful Possibilities, a special mentoring initiative created by 6 teens per the package info.
A tire on my Jeep Wrangler, dirty as usual, this time from the gravel it was parked on while I was walking the trail at a local park. It’s always getting in some mess or another, but that’s part of the fun.
L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara in Deep Violet against a shimmery striped background in various jewel tones that compliment the product nicely.
A photo of a fist with gold painted fingernails against an off-white background and with fingers crossed.
A “sad face” made of my collection of empty and almost- empty makeup containers. On the plus side, I use what I buy. On the minus side, I sometimes run out before I can afford to buy more but that just makes it sweeter when I can.
L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara in Deep Violet against a violet/gray background. These colored mascaras are fun but also not too over-the-top. Since they go on black lashes, they just add an accent that to me is a nice change from traditional black.
Two of my favorite “crushes”: Coola “Summer Crush”lipstick, a pink shade with SPF30, displayed on a T-shirt I bought at Parx Casino in Philadelphia, PA during a December 2021 concert performance of one of my first crushes, Mr. Shaun Cassidy.
L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara in Deep Green with a word that describes why I like it.
My hand with rose gold polished nails wrapped around a white freezer door handle
The door of my Jeep Wrangler with a blue rubber duck tucked in the door handle. I was “ducked” on a recent trip to a local shopping mall, Ocean County Mall in Toms River, NJ. I ran out to my car in the rain to find this little guy. #DuckDuckJeepNJ
A photo of my hand with two fingers crossed and with nails painted a peachy marbled gold, white polish with a gold color on top. I’m wearing an opal ring given to me by my late Aunt Helen, who, like me, had an October birthday.
Wetting my electric toothbrush with water from the faucet in the bathroom sink in preparation for brushing my teeth
A beach bar with indoor and outdoor seating where you can kick back, enjoy a beer and burger, and view the ocean. This is Jenks Inlet Bar & Restaurant and is known for being where the locals hang out on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk in NJ.
